Here’s the thing: I know dog instagram accounts are absurd. My dog doesn’t give a damn if he has a social media presence - he doesn’t even have thumbs, so posting on social is completely out of the question for him. But I’ve loved getting to use his account as a way to do weird things that most dog instagram accounts wouldn’t do.
Like dress him up every day of October for Halloween in 2020. And 2021, 2022, 2023. And probably 2024.
This all began as a silly Covid project; an attempt to exercise my creativity and honestly provide some much-needed levity to 2020. To make this it a creative challenge, I set a few parameters for myself:
1. I couldn’t plan super far in advance and had to make each costume day-of.
2. I couldn’t spend more than $31 total for the entire 31 days of October.
3. I could use anything around my house or that I otherwise got for free.
And now here we are, 124 dog costumes later, and ready for Year 5 in 2024.
